Thousands of people celebrate the proclamation of the Republic of Catalonia in the Sant Jaume Square, also asking for the freedom of Jordi Sánchez and Jordi Cuixart. The Catalan Parliament has proclaimed, after a vote, the formation of Catalonia as a new state on the afternoon of 27 October, opposite the headquarters of the Catalan government.
