SAINTS - CLOTILDE Saint Clotilde, was a Burgundian princess, born about 475 AD, who married the warring pagan King, Clovis. Clotilde succeeded in converting him - a conversion which was completed when his prayers 'to the God of Clotilde' were answered. In consequence, he was baptised.
