RM2GYJG37–Idaho Governor Brad Little and Maj. Gen. Michael Garshak, adjutant general of Idaho, presented 124th Fighter Wing's Staff Sgt. Kyle Perkins with the Idaho Cross medal at the Idaho State Capitol on Jan. 2, 2020 for his significant act of heroism on the evening of June 14, 2019. Perkins quickly responded to a man sitting next to him in distress. Perkins and his wife, Allia, assessed and secured the scene and performed CPR until the paramedics arrived. RMPWTX6R–The Virginia National Guard's 29th Division Band provides music June 24, 2017, In Madison, Virginia, for a ceremony dedicating a new historical highway marker honoring a Medal of Honor recipient born in the county. The marker recognizes U.S. Army Cpl. Clinton Greaves and his act of 'extraordinary heroism' during a U.S. cavalry fight with Apache Indians on Jan. 24, 1877, in the Florida Mountains of New Mexico. The event was sponsored by American Legion Post #157, and Congressman Tom Garrett served as the guest speaker.
