RMTYTKC1–Soldiers from the 150th Engineer Battalion constructed one of the first bridges across the Rhine during World War II. The battalion became a part of the Mississippi National Guard and transitioned to a Brigade Special Troops Battalion in 2006 as part of the 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team, Mississippi Army National Guard. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Torrech serves aboard Ike as an aviation machinist’s mate and is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, fabricating and maintaining jet engines. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
RMTYJ6B7–The fish-rescue team measures a white sturgeon rescued from the bottom of the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks during the annual maintenance pump out November 10. Each year, Corps natural resource staff, fish biologists, scientists and volunteers go on a fish-rescue mission when the locks are drained. To ensure Endangered Species Act listed fish are safe, the team must capture, haul them out of the 50-foot deep chamber and release them. The team doesn’t limit its efforts to ESA listed species and this year the rescue included an estimated 100-pound sturgeon.

RMTYRYHM–PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 24, 2016) Sailors assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) prepare ham in the galley for a Thanksgiving celebration. Nimitz is currently underway conducting Tailored Ship's Training Availability and Final Evolution Problem (TSTA/FEP), which evaluates the crew on their performance during training drills and real-world scenarios.
