Pictured: Ceremonies at the War Memorial at the War Memorial to remember the fallen. One of the original Border Common Ridings, there is a reference to a ceremony in Lauder's Town Council minutes of 1686. On Saturday the Cornet receives the Burgh Flag at the Tollbooth and leads the mounted cavalcade to the Watering Stane and onto the Burgess Cairn, the only boundary stone still in existence.

Re-enactors create a living camp with demonstrations and displays of armoury and archery from 1513, part of the 500th Anniversary of the Battle of Flodden. The Battle of Flodden was a conflict between the Kingdom of England and the Kingdom of Scotland. The battle was fought in the county of Northumberland in northern England on 9 September 1513, between an invading Scots army under King James IV and an English army commanded by the Earl of Surrey.
