Wind Farms are potentially hazardous for birds and are not welcome by some conservation groups such as the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). The windfarm at Cefn Croes in Powys (Wales) is one such farm being so close to nesting red kites. Another example is at Tarifa in Southern Spain, as this is on the raptor migration route between Africa and Europe.
