Artist Serena de la Hey stands in front of her framework for a huge willow sculpture, dubbed the Colossus of the West next to the M5 motorway. The giant sculpture of a running figure was put up as part of the Year of the Artist in the South West. * ...and can be seen from the M5 near Bridgwater, Somerset, and from the nearby railway line. Local artist Serena will now complete the sculpture, which has been compared to the Angel of the North, by weaving locally grown willow around the metal framework.
