The nearly 3000 km ² large Nitmiluk National Park extends north of Katherine in the direction of Darwin and is bordered to the north by the Kakadu National Park. Especially its impressive canyons with vertical sandstone rock walls, the Katherine River and many waterfalls and many pools make the Nitmiluk National Park a tourist attraction.
