Tyneham Village, near Wareham, Dorset. Part of the Purbecks. Evacuated in 1943 and remains deserted. Church and School only intact buildings.

In 1943 the villagers were moved from Tyneham village and Worbarrow Bay areas by Winston Churchill’s War Cabinet prior to the area being used for D-Day preparations. They never returned. Today Tyneham village and Worbarrow Bay is part of the Ministry of Defence Lulworth Ranges including Worbarrow Bay coastline
