These two Sega Game Gear units were re;eased at different times. The top one is the original, released by Sega on 1990. Underneath is the 'Majesco' version - released by Majesco in 2001, it played most Sega Game Gear titles but didn't support the TV Tuner. It also has a monochrome logo on the screen and is black in colour compared to the grey of the original. The Majesco Game Gear also features a faster refresh rate on its screen, making for less blurring in fast-moving action games. The consoles are lying on a bed of Sega Game Gear game cartridges, which can be slotted into the back of each unit and played using the buttons on the front. This image has been lightly touched up in Lightroom to remove some scratches and dust, but otherwise is wholly authentic.
