Thomas Moore was an Irish poet, singer, songwriter, and entertainer. Among his best known works are The Last Rose of Summer.

Thomas Moore (1779-1852) was an Irish poet, singer, songwriter, and entertainer. Among his best known works are The Last Rose of Summer and The Minstrel Boy. He is sometimes referred to as Anacreon Moore, after the fifth-century Greek lyric poet Anacreon. He, with John Murray, burned Lord Byron's memoirs after his death. The illustraiton dates to 1899.
