This view of the last Kitson Meyer at Taltal in Chile's Atacama Desert shows the two chimneys, the front one issuing pulls of oil smoke and the rear one emitting shrouds of pure while saturated steam. This study also shows how the original Meyer type was improved by Kitson of Leeds who spread the bogies further apart to allow unrestricted space for the firebox.
