The UN policemen from Nigeria guard the Presidential Palace in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The United Nations Stabilization Mission In Haiti (MINUSTAH) is a peacekeeping mission that has been installed in Haiti in 2004 by the United Nations. In spite of the undoubted efforts that have been made by the UN, MINUSTAH soldiers became a symbol of the occupation and therefore they are generally not welcomed by the Haitian population.
