The monument of Girondists on the ' Place des Quinconces', in Bordeaux (Aquitaine - France). Erected between 1894 and 1902 in memory of Girondist deputies victims of the Terror during the French revolution, that monument is made of a large pedestal surrounded by two basins (here the south-eastern basin) decorated with bronze horses and groups. It is topped by a column towered by the Genius of Liberty breaking its chains. Le monument des Girondins sur la place des Quinconces, à Bordeaux (Aquitaine - France). Erigé entre 1894 et 1902 à la mémoire des députés Girondins victimes de la Terreur durant la Révolution Française, ce monument est constitué d'un large socle entouré de deux bassins (ici le bassin Sud-Est) décorés de chevaux et de groupes en bronze. Il est surmonté d'une colonne où culmine la statue du Génie de la Liberté brisanr ses fers.
