The Eastern Gray Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) is often recognized by its grayish-brown fur and silver-tipped hairs on a long bushy tail. Also known as the Grey Squirrel, the rodent is native to the eastern and midwestern United States and is found in some western parts of the country, as well as in Great Britain and South Africa.
