Making Sense garden at the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park 2014, designed by Janet Leigh of The Landlady. Janet Leigh designed a sensory garden catering for children aged 4 to 11 with special needs. This design was inspired by watching the children interacting with the various features in the sensory and the positive effect this had on their development. The garden is bright and colourful. Soft play paving provides a safe surface and quirky water features have been made from a salvaged hand pump and a kitchen sink with pan waterfall and spoon water wheel. The shade sail and astroturf bench creates an outdoor classroom. A vegetable garden, chamomile lawn, light and shadow stems reflect pools of colour as the sun shines.
