Steps to the Hamburg waterfront Germany with the futuristic Elbphilharmonie complex in the background.

The Hamburg Elbphilharmonie complex located on the Elbe River. The contentious building of the complex, primarily due to financial decisions, stands on the waterfront and was built on top of a warehouse. The building holds two concert halls and as of January 2017 is the home to the NDR Orchestra. The building is located in the Hafencity section of Hamburg where futuristic architectural planning is being implemented.
