St Patrick's C8th Anglo-Saxon chapel, Heysham, overlooking Morecambe Bay. Local tradition says St Patrick founded a small chapel here in C5th after being shipwrecked off the coast or landing en route from Ireland. May have been built as a pilgrimage chapel &/or a retreat house for an early religious community at St Peter's Church just to the E. Eight body-shaped graves are cut into the adjacent rock outcrops.
