More information:

Siamese twin girls were born to 19-year-old Agnes Anyait and Augustine Ojangole, 23, Saturday 22 October 2011 and have been transferred to Mulago National Referral Hospital in the capitol city, Kampala, Uganda. The couple are from Opelu village in Omadituk, Ngora sub-county. The girls are currently being fed through a tube. This is Anyait's first pregnancy. Ojangole said that until Anyait was 8 months and 6 days along in the pregnancy, they did not realize that she was carrying twins or that there could be any problem. Medical officer Dr. Catherine Apio said Thursday night that doctors will be taking an ultrasound and xrays to determine when and how they will perform a seperation produre. Midwife Beatrice Sarah Nangobi, who was checking on the twins Thursday evening, said that they are on antibiotics.
