Bryce Canyon is a series of natural amphitheaters along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau, populated with distinctive geological structures called hoodoos. It was designated a national park in 1928. Hoodoos are formed by erosions of the sedimentary rocks that make up the area, resulting in red, orange, and white striations.
