05.11.1996, Berlin, DEU, GERMANY - Polish resistance fighter Jan Karski in Centrum Judaikum in Berlin. In 1942/43 Jan Karski was a secret courier for the Polish underground resistance. In 1942 he was smuggled into the Warsaw Ghetto and then reported to the British and U.S. governments about the atrocities he saw, but his reports were treated with indifference and no action followed. Karski died in July 2000.
