Located off the B6160 between Bolton Abbey and Burnsall in the Yorkshire Dales, Barden Tower was one of six hunting lodges and the principle seat of administration for Barden hunting forest. Henry, 10th Lord Clifford, rebuilt the hunting lodge in the late 15th century and made it his principle residence. In 1515 he built the Priest House next to the chapel. The latter is now a restaurant and popular wedding venue (seen to the front right). Only the outer shell of the tower house remains of Barden Tower (seen to the left).
