13 May 2020, Brandenburg, Sauen: Three young peregrine falcons (Falco peregrinus) stand on the forest floor in the Sauener Forst. On the same day, the offspring were ringed in a nest of peregrine falcons. The two volunteers Silvio Herold and Winfried Nachtigall from the Arbeitskreis Wanderfalkenschutz e.V. (AWS) took three chicks from the nest in the top of a mighty pine tree. The 26-day-old young peregrine falcons were measured, weighed and fitted with two rings each.
