Here you can see a small part of the lakeside road of the Ioannina town. Walking on that road, by the castles walls (which you can't see in the photo because they are behind the trees), from "Naftakia" in the southeast, to "Kyra Frosyni" in the northeast, is one of the most romantic experiences of your life. Here you see the side of "Kyra Frosyni" or "Molos" for the locals, the place where you can take the small boats to visit the island of the lake and its village. Inside the castle there are two citadels, two "acropolis", one on the southeast side, called "Ic Kale" , and one on the northeast side (the one you see here), with the Aslan Pasha mosque (also seen in the photo, at least its minaret), one of the most beautiful mosques in Greece, constructed in 1618 (today a Municipal Museum).
