Coastal cleaning at Posidonio, Samos island, Greece. Posidonio, Samos, Greece. Local sports divers from Samos voluntarily work alongside members of Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation removing rubbish thrown into the Aegean. One of the worst pollutants is old marine batteries which can be disposed of correctly and for free on the island but many are casually thrown into the sea, destroying wildlife and releasing toxins into the food chain.
