National September 11 Memorial honoring those killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon as well as those who died in Shanksville PA and in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. Two pools are located in the footprints where the twin World Trade Center towers stood and nearly 3,000 names are inscribed on bronze parapets surrounding them.
