Motorcycle competitors on the Fingle Section of the 2013 Exeter Trial.
The Exeter Trial is a genuinely historic event. First run in 1906 it represents the start of the democratisation of transport. Before 1900 you either walked or rode a horse. If you didn't own land you didn't own a horse. By 1918 the people could aspire to a motorbike or car. The Reliability Trials proved to the public that petrol powered vehicles were practical. Fingle Bridge near NT Castle Drogo predates the Castle. Celebrate it! Find out more by visiting the MCC (Motocycle Club) website
