The former Slovak foreign minister and former OSCE Secretary General Kubis is also head of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), based in Kabul. The discussions on the progress towards the full transition of security responsibility to Afghanistan, the political process of the intra-Afghan reconciliation and long-term support for Afghanistan are after the security handover end of 2014.
