Luang Prabang at sunrise from the top of Mt. Phou Si. In the Lao language, “Phou” means mountain and “Si” means hermit. Visitors must climb 328 step to reach the top of the mountain from the entrance in front of the Luang Prabang National Museum. The mountain is also accessible by a back entrance on the Ban Khamyong side of Mt. Phou Si; it has 410 steps. The bridge viewed from the top is Bailey Bridge, which was built by the French.
