La Paz, Bolivia, 1st September 2014. Womens Rights Activists and supporters carry crosses with the names of victims during a march to protest against violence against women. The march was also to repudiate recent statements made by several candidates during the current election campaign that appear to minimise the problem and discriminate against women. According to a WHO report in January 2013 Bolivia is the country with the highest rate of violence against women in Latin America, there have been 453 cases of femicide since 2006 during the current government.
