KAMPALA, UGANDA: Sudan President Omar El Bashir. Yoweri Museveni has been sworn in as president of Uganda today following elections that took place on February 18th 2016. President Museveni can be seen taking the oath, signing the official documents, holding a ceremonial shield and inspecting the guard of honour. Other pictures show enthusiastic dancers, members of the police force as well as the armed forces band. The ceremony which took place during in Kampala, was the sixth time Museveni has been sworn in as president, having been in power for over thirty years. He came to power after a five-year guerrilla rebellion in protest against the outcome of the 1980 general elections and has been immovable since then. The opposition party, Forum for Democratic Change or FDC have claimed there was fraud in the February 18 elections and that the process was not free and fair.
