This person is dressed as a Highlander Jacobite soldier. He is wearing a tartan jacket and a blue bonnet with a white cockade (a white bow of ribbon, indicating he is a Jacobite). He also has a tartan plaid over his shoulder and a thick belt with a buckle. The battle of Prestonpans took place on the 21st September 1745 and was between the Jacobite army of Prince Charles Edward Stuart and Royal Troops of George II. It was won by the Jacobites.
