Art image of a young hunting tiger at Kanha tiger reserve India. This highly endangered species is finding its habitat eroded by the expanding population needs in India and elsewhere. Many 'tiger' reserves in India have been found to contain less tigers than when 'project tiger' commenced. Some of these reserves now have no tigers at all. Many of these tigers were poached to provide skins to the lucrative tibetan market where the weraing of tiger skins was prestigious. The Dalai lama has condemed this practice, and many of the tiger skins have been burned.
