Aradena Gorge is a deep limestone canyon running from the Lefka Ori or White Mountains down to the South coast of Crete. High above its steep walls only the ruins of the left village Azogyres remember the rural history of this area. Die Aradena-Schlucht gräbt sich von den Lefka Ori oder Weißen Bergen durch den Kalkstein zur Südküste von Kreta. Hoch über seinen Felswänden erinnern nur noch die Grundmauern an das einstige Dorf Azogyres.
