Glasgow, UK. 11th Oct, 2015. At 3.15pm on Sunday 11 October the Red Road Flats, Glasgow were brought down by controlled explosions. About 2500 local residents were evacuated from the surrounding houses as a safety measure during the demolition. After the explosions it was obvious that only 4 of the housing blocks had fully collapsed and 2 remained partially demolished. It is planned to have the two towers demolished conventionally on Monday 12 October. It is estimated that over 10000 spectators watched the demolition. Credit: Findlay/Alamy Live News
