Mr. Sharansky, former Dissident, Human Rights activist and Politician, is the chairman of the Adelson Institute of Strategic Studies in the Shalem Center in Jerusalem. He Chaired the Adelson Institute's December 2008 Conference: "“Twenty First Century Wars: Counterinsurgency and the Challenge of Global Terrorism.” During that conference, Mr. Netanyahu lectured about global terrorism, Iran and policy. More than two hundred members of the military, judiciary, media and political establishment attended the conference. Attendees included Lt. Col. John Nagl of the Center for a New American Security, co-author of the U.S. Army/USMC Counterinsurgency Field Manual, Middle East scholar Prof. Bernard Lewis, Renown Strategist Edward Luttwak.
