Electrical workers from the F.E.C. Construction Company of Farah, Afghanistan, which is owned and operated by Walley Muhammad, continue to install electrical poles and wires as part of the Farah Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) sponsored District I electrification program on Dec. 8, 2009. Currently, 280 electrical poles have been installed throughout District I and the overall project is 70 percent complete. Electric power will allow the citizens of Farah to increase their sanitation levels, extend business hours, and generally increase their quality of life.
