EGYPT, CAIRO: Ammar Abu Bakr is one of the most active mural artists. Here is drew martyrs as they looked after they were killed or tortured. Since the revolution began in January 2011 many graffiti and murals appeared on walls, especially in Cairo. Often the murals and graffiti change quickly, either erased by the state or overpainted by artists. The walls serve as a living history book, documenting the political events.
