The furrows of a spring-onion field split across the middle by an earthquake ground-fissure that appeared during the Kobe Earthquake in western Japan on Tuesday, January 17, 1995 at 5.46am. The quake’s focus was in northern Awaji Island, and had a magnitude of 7.2 on the Richter scale, resulting in over 6,400 deaths.
