An 'enfant terrible' of the film industry, his films include 'Aguirre, der Zorn Gottes' ('Aguirre: The Wrath of God') and 'Nosferatu: Phantom der Nacht' ('Nosferatu the Vampire'). Kinski was born on 18 October 1926 in Danzig, Germany (now Gdansk, Poland) under the name of Nikolaus Guenther Nakszynski and died on 23 November 1991 in Lagunitas, California, of a heart attack.
