Battle of Calumpit, was fought from April 25–27, 1899, during the Philippine-American War, after the Battle of Quingua. The expedition, resulted in the capture of Emilio Aguinaldo, and his subsequent agreement to cease fighting and to swear allegiance to the US. In upper right is a portrait of Col. Fred Funston, who received the Medal of Honor for establishing a rope ferry to pull rafts across the river while under heavy fire (BSLOC 2017 10 81)
