Saltwater crocodiles (Crocodylus porosus) was once common in Singapore but was said to be extinct. However, they can be seen once again in the mangroves of Singapore. It is not known if they have come over from Malaysia or Indonesia, or if they are a remnant of a localised population. Estuarine crocodiles are listed as 'Critically Endangered' in the Red List of threatened animals of Singapore. Sungei Buloh, Singapore
