Bunches of Malunggay leaves (Moringa Oleifera) are for sale at a produce market in the Philippines. The leaves, stems, pods and flowers may be eaten raw or cooked. Maluggay grows in tropical zones and is of great nutritional value and medicinal value. It has been used for hundreds of years as a medicinal plant. Western research has shown it has anti infectious, antibacterial, anti fungal, anti cancer, antimicrobial and anti inflammatory properties. The Oleifera pods are the source of Ben Oil.
