09.08.2014, Bruges, West Flanders, Belgium - Entrance in the courtyard of the Gruuthuse Museum. The former palace of the lords van Gruuthuse originated in the early 15th century. The present museum houses objects from the history of the 15th-19th Century. The rider sculpture over the entrance decorated by filigree ornamentation shows Lodewijk van Gruuthuse, including the inscription of the family motto -plus est en vous- (German: you're made of more). The medieval city center of Bruges became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. In 2002, Bruges was European Capital of Culture. 0JL140809D075CAROE.JPG
