"Held every year on the Tuesday after August Bank Holiday against the magnificent backdrop of Kilnsey Crag, the show has been a showcase for the Dales farming community for over a hundred years. It is one of the larger agricultural shows in the North of England and it attracts visitors from throughout the Dales and way beyond. Entry classes cater for a wide range of sheep and cattle breeds, and the show provides an excellent opportunity for those unfamiliar with hill farming to find out about the skills and problems of the hill farmer and to trace their food from field to plate."
