Bhutanese refugees of Nepali origin wait for a flight to the U.S. at London, England's Heathrow Airport. The refugees are beneficiaries of an International Organization for Migration (IOM) program launched in 2008 to resettle refugees from camps in eastern Nepal. The U.S. is one of eight countries taking part in the UNHCR funded program. Over 50,000 Bhutanese refugees of Nepali origin have been resettled primarily in the United States.
