The Cow and Calf Rocks, on Ilkley Moor, West Yorkshire, above the Spa Town of Ilkley, is a well known landmark and large rock formation consisting of an outcrop and boulder. It is also known as Hangingstone Rocks. The rocks are made of millstone grit, a variety of sandstone and were given the name because one of the rocks is large whilst the one sitting close to it, is much smaller, similar to a cow and calf. This area is a popular venue for rock climbers and walkers.
