Apr 25, 2011 - Naw Zad, Helmand, Afghanistan - Afghan National Police (ANP) member ABDUL KAREEM, 16, of Ghor province looks at the camera while on duty at the police headquarters in the town of Naw Zad in Naw Zad district in Helmand province, Afghanistan, Monday. His superior, district police chief ABDULLAH FARIDI has a fierce anti poppy agenda and is known for having eradicated several poppy fields in the area, including fields that belonged to his own father, he says the poppy culture is even a worse problem than the Taliban in the area, who profit from the drug trade.
