000014326 NOT FOR SALE IN ITALY AND SOUTH AFRICA. 'African Gardens': Shape and form were important considerations when we designed our third African garden. The trees were chosen specifically for their ornamental trunks. You can see quite a distance through the branches of the alien leapord trees (Caesalpinia ferrea) and in the background Bismarck palms (Bismarckia nobilis) were planted in three dramatic steel pots. These impressive palms, with their gigantic, pleated blue-grey leaves, grow relatively fast and are ideal for drier climatic zones since they aren't resistant to frost. Patches of exotic ornamental grasses fill the rest of the bed. Obligatory Credit - CAMERA PRESS/Home
