A Persian kilij with silver inlay, 19th century A heavy single-edged blade of fine wootz-Damascus with several fullers on both sides, slightly broader at the double-edged point. There are two cartouches inlaid in brass at the base of the blade on the obverse side, "Tamasp, The Servant of the Lord of Lords", and "Work of Kalb Ali from Isfahan." There are four inscription cartouches between silver brocade leafy vine decoration (Artemisia stelleriana) inlaid in brass in the long fullers on both sides.
